About Me
Jan Cynth L. Palama Jan completed his Teaching University Student course at Hong Kong Baptist University. He is an author of international research papers on digital trust, teacher engagement, and online distance learning discipline. Jan is also a contributing author of a book on Social Relations published by Taylor & Francis. His research interests include online cheating practices among students, which he explored in his master’s thesis.
Currently, Jan is pursuing his Doctorate Degree in Philosophy Major in Research and Evaluation at Silliman University. He serves as the Regional Secretary for the Philippine eLearning Society in Region 7. Jan is an advocate for the responsible use of generative AI. He has been invited to speak on this topic at Silliman University to students and teachers and to the Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Quezon City. Additionally, Jan contributed to the development of Silliman University’s Gen AI Framework to Silliman Education. Jan has presented at several international conferences, including the 12th AYIMUN in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and ASEAN conference in Japan. He was awarded 1st Place and Best Research Paper Presenter at the 5th International Conference on eLearning in Batac, Ilocos Norte. Jan is an instructor and currently the Academic Coordinator of Media, Information, and Communication at Silliman University, Dumaguete City, Philippines.
